June 2004, was when Michael achieved Master Fitter status with the N.I.C.F. (National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers). The N.I.C.F. is the principal trade body responsible for determining professional standards within the carpet and floor coverings industry. Michael reached Master Fitter status after passing written and practical examinations.

Master Fitter status is the N.I.C.F.’s most highly regarded award of excellence in the theory and practice of floorlaying. Michael is the only Master Fitter in Laminate and Real Wood throughout Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Michael is happy to have been upgraded from an Approved Fitter to Master Fitter; "being a Master Fitter is just as important to my customers as it is to me. My existing and future customers can be sure that my workmanship is of the highest standard and if there are any problems, the N.I.C.F. are always on hand to advise both myself and the customer".
